i was working at a job and a insurance company came in to offer employees insurance, life, work injuries,etc...i decided to get life insurance for myself so my boyfriend of 20 years and our 4 kids together would be o.k.the guy i worked together with we were having a conversation about the insurance.i asked him is he going to get some and he said no,so i said well would'nt you want your wife and daughter to be o.k. after you are gone.he did not care about that.so i went on to say,i got life insurance for me,because my boyfriend has so much left for us if something was to happen.i did tell him how much this insurance policy was, which was my big mistake.my boyfriend's friend also work there so that is how i got the job in the first place.well he and the guy i was having a conversation with about the life insurance started talking and out of their conversation, the guy told my boyfriend friend that.i said i can't wait until he die and i am going to buy this and that.which is completely a lie.this same guy has always been flirting with me, and of course i had to tell him no thanks.as a result of this untrue statement the job laid me off,but in reality they really fired me because of this but did not tell me.my boyfriend believe that i said it.as a result he changed life insurance policy which i do not care,i cannot put a price on a persons life.that was a innocent conversation that was taken too far and untrue.i even went as far as confronting the guy on the phone with my boyfriend, and he started stuttering and all choked up.that is a cruel statement to say about someone,a life to me,no matter who they are is worth more than any amount of money in the world.as a result of this matter,it is over between us because that shows me he dislikes me and after all we have been through together for him to believe them hurts my hurt more than words can say.thank you moreOpen Question: Life Insurance Quote?

What is the best website for me to get such a life insurance quote? moreOpen Question: What is wrong with America!?
Is it just me or have Americans "developed" a view on Socialized health care that couldn't be further from the truth. There is absolutely nothing wrong with socialized health care. When there is something wrong we get treatment write away and were not dumped on the streets because we cant afford it. Americans have developed a media influenced perception of socialized health care as slow and poor. This couldn't be further from the truth. I'll often watch television and see commercials that advertise socialized health care as being more expensive then the American Way of health care. Why would someone spend money on commercials like that...and please don't say its because people care about the freedoms and well being of their country. If that were true you would see commercials advertising gay rights. These commercials are paid for by health care insurance companies that don't want you to have free health care because it would mean them going bankrupt. I don't blame the average american citizen, i blame the EVIL corporate giant that works on the top floor of your health insurance buildings. Come to your senses to have something socialized is not the end of the world... im pretty sure your fire departments are socialized and so are lots of other things yet you don't complain for paying taxes for these things...many americans argue well those things save lives, well so does health care! moreOpen Question: Do I really have to disclose everything for a life insurance quote?

Agents are always extremely keen about selling my family whole life insurance instead of term. According to the agents, whole life is preferable to term since it does not expire and as a result the beneficiary is guaranteed some payment upon the death of the insured. However, why would the insurance company profit from such a setup if they are bound to pay back an amount that is at least equal to the total amount paid? I have tried to do some research on my own, but I still can't seem to fully understand this matter. Any help will be greatly appreciated! moreOpen Question: Need some serious math help?

Eli Lilly pushed a drug for dimensia and knew that it wasn't effective. Common sense is one thing, but people with dimensia aren't aware of what the drug is for... they base their decisions on what the doctor says who is going by what Lily told him... likewise Airlines are having maintenance performed in foreign countries far from the FAA over seeing the work, Parts are purchased from foreign suppliers.. example.. I worked for a major airline and they were buying overhauled engine fan blades from a company in Brownsville TX (Blades were worth 6,000 dollars each)... the blades were overhauled in Mexico and brought back into the United States with a servicable tag on them. An inspector at our Airline happened to remember that he had seen a blade serial number once before. He had rejected it for being out of limits 6 months earlier and it was sold for scrap... It was sent out of the country as scrap and then came back in with the tag. If the inspector had not noticed the serial number, you could have been on that airplane. This story happened before deregulation and you can imagine what it is like now. A few years ago bolts were brought into the country that were inferior... they used the wrong steel for aircraft use... Mechanics were tightening bolts and they would break off. Get my point... the dollar can be a strong influence and can not be the deciding factor... there has to be regulation. Usury laws are another example... Read about them... where banks and cards can up you interest limit for any reason. The banking and insurance industry are the most recent example of operating under the radar without regulation, but there are many other examples. We all have to stop trusting these right wing idiots and free market advocates and pay attention. It could have been your kid on the airplane and who would you blame. The Airline, the supplier, or your own self induced blindness. By the way they now destroy the blades before sending them out... What do you think? moreOpen Question: When will Obama do anything for the 'little guy'?
Bailouts for banks and insurance companies. Federal bailouts and related spending proposed by the Obama Administration now total 8 trillion dollars, according to the American Institute for Economic Research. To pay for exploding federal spending, Obama’s Congressional allies are mulling huge tax increases. Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-Cal.) wants a 90 percent tax rate. Obama has spent more in his first 50 days, by far, than George Bush spent on the entire Iraq War. That includes a pork-filled $800 billion stimulus package that deceptively repealed welfare reform, and that the Congressional Budget Office admits will cut the size of America’s economy in the long run by exploding the national debt. The bailouts and new spending will benefit many undeserving people who are well-to-do. The Treasury Department’s recently announced mortgage bailout will bail out irresponsible mortgage borrowers with big homes, high incomes and normal mortgage payments, covering mortgages up to $729,750. People are suffering across much of the country, but not here in Washington, D.C., where the White House is throwing lavish parties and well-to-do residents are being enriched at taxpayer expense by Obama’s expansion of government. The expected hiring of up to 250,000 new bureaucrats by the Obama Administration is helping to prop up home values in Washington’s inner suburbs, while siphoning money out of less fortunate regions of the country. The bureaucrats’ pay will likely be much better than that of the far-more-numerous private sector employees whose jobs are being lost as a result of Obama’s deficit spending, which will crowd out private investment. Expensive restaurants and sellers of luxury goods in Washington, D.C. still seem to have plenty of business. My spend-thrift liberal neighbors, who have a second mortgage, are spending as conspicuously and prodigiously as ever. The $800 billion stimulus package also subsidizes groups that helped spawn the mortgage crisis, like ACORN, which promoted “liar loans” and engaged in financial fraud and vote fraud. An ally of ACORN, the Congressman Barney Frank, (D-Massachusetts) helped spawn the mortgage crisis by blocking needed reforms of the bankrupt government-sponsored mortgage giants, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and backing “affordable housing” mandates that resulted in risky mortgage loans. But now this hypocrite wants a one-sided inquisition into who caused the crisis! http://www.openmarket.org/2009/03/08/8-trillion-in-bailouts-undeserving-rich-benefit/ moreResolved Question: Why not sell medical insurance like Auto insurance?
I know this is long but please bear with me. Rather than set up a separate government run medical insurance or expansion of medicare to the general public....One criticism of government care is that it will be in direct competition with existing providers. Ultimately siphoning insurance customers away from traditional plans and onto the rolls of govt care causing these providers to go out of business. Here in my state the auto insurance companies MUST offer the same basic minimum coverage in order to do business in the state. Everyone here must have at least the same basic level of insurance (both auto and medical) . You can go to any provider you choose and this basic minimum insurance level costs the same . If you want more insurance you can pay for additional coverage. But that basic plan is available to all. So why not have a similar program for medical insurance as part of a nation wide group policy. This group can be subsidized by the government but it would be managed by the existing insurance providers. (In other words if you want to be in the insurance business you must offer and support this minimum plan which would be a foundation for any other plan you offer) The govt pays the insurance company a flat rate to manage each person enrolled in the basic plan. The more money the company saves (the better they manage the insurance) the more money they keep. However if that company provides poor management it will cost them. Either subscribers will change management companies if they feel they are getting a raw deal or wasteful management would not be payed for by the government. One advantage I see here is that consumers would have an alternative providers to go to if they feel wronged by a particular management company. Insurance providers also have an incentive to offer additional services to the basic plan members in order to attract more subscribers and earn money. With a govt program like medicare your stuck with the one provider (the governement). As they say One Choice is NO Choice.... If someone wants additional insurance they can buy additional coverage from any provider they choose. But No one could be denied coverage for the standardized basic plan. Since everyone is part of this national group policy the basic insurance is portable and independent of supplemental policy one may have. So if you change jobs or move to a different state you may loose the supplemental policy BUT your basic coverage remains intact. You merely transfer the company that provides the management services for the basic medical. Insurance providers would get paid by the fed to manage the participants in the basic plan for each participant in the basic plan. this would put market forces into play for the insurance providers to make money by attracting additional participants through better service or offerings. COunter to this is if the consumer gets crappy management services they can transfer to any other insurance provider. moreOpen Question: compare insurance quotes, reduce insurance costs, local auto insurance agent, insurance companies, auto insura?

My neighbor to the side of me that I'll call "Lumberjack Dave" is going nuts removing all of the trees in his backyard. He cut a branch today that landed in another neighbor's yard and, without their permission or them even being home, entered their backyard with a chainsaw and chopped the branch for his own firewood that he stores in his backyard. There is a 60' tree that he told me he is going to remove himself that is growing on his side of the fence line but leans over my yard, patio and house completely. I know I cannot tell him what to do with his tree but I want to know what steps I can take to make sure that a licensed removal service takes care of my property. He has removed a tree hanging over my front yard in the past, and drive his truck onto my lawn to remove the branch. The wood chips are still there and there are tire marks in my lawn. He did not ask my permission. My insurance company tells me that I have the right to deny him permission to cross my property line, but if he falls onto my yard from the tree I am liable. I am also not comfortable with him possibly illegally swinging around a chainsaw in my backyard the second he sees my car pull out of the driveway. I've taken pictures of the state of the tree, my yard, patio, house, etc before anything happens. What else should I do to ensure the safety of my property? moreResolved Question: Why not offer Medical Insurance like Car Insurance.....?

Ultimately siphoning insurance customers away from traditional plans and onto the rolls of govt care causing these providers to go out of business. Here in Mass auto insurance companies MUST offer the same basic minimum coverage in order to do business in Mass. Everyone here must have at least the same basic level of insurance (both auto and medical) . You can go to any provider you choose and this basic minimum insurance level costs the same . If you want more insurance you can pay for additional coverage. The more money the company saves (the better then manage the insurance) the more money they keep. However if that company provides poor management it will cost them. Either subscribers will change management companies if they feel they are getting a raw deal or wasteful management would not be payed for by the government. One advantage I see here is that consumers would have an alternative providers to go to if they feel wronged by a particular management company. With a govt program like medicare your stuck with the one provider. COunter to this is if the consumer gets crappy management services they can transfer to any other insurance provider. moreOpen Question: Can you suggest some health insurance for me?
I'm a grad student in Tennessee, female, 23, single, and looking for a cheaper alternative than my school health insurance. I work about 26 hours at the university, and go to school fulltime. I have no criminal record or whatsoever, and I do not drive. Currently I have to pay 1000 for two semesters, and I was wondering what companies might be cheaper? I am looking for the absolute cheapest ones. Thanks!! moreOpen Question: Who is at fault in a parking lot car accident?
Yesterday, I went to the Seven Eleven and parked my Explorer in a parking space that I saw someone else just leave, as I was about to get out of my truck, the person that just left that space was backing towards me.... but I didnt know he was backing up because there were no reverse lights on his truck, then all of a sudden he hit me on my drivers door.... The police were called and the officer said that I wasnt at fault, but now his insurance company is trying to say that I might have to pay half of the damages that he did to my truck (which were about $3,200.00 worth by the way) because it was in a parking lot.... but he backed into my vehicle while it was parked, how can that be my fault??? Also I'm living in Alberta, Canada not sure if the laws differ from province to province. Thanks for your helpThe reason I'm talking to his insurance company is because 2 weeks ago I removed collision from my insurance, so all I have is PLPD (the basic plan) so I have to do all the leg work instead of my insurance company doing it for me.... I know what shitty timing LOL moreOpen Question: my friends car was hit by another car driven by a person under alcohol, can we claim third-party insurance?

The company I work for has just started this, people who earn more are having to pay a higher premium for employer sponsored health insurance than those earning less. Is this a legal practice or are they pulling a fast one? moreResolved Question: If the government provides insuranct to anyone, should they also have the power . . . ?
to "encourage healthy practices" and discourage unhealthy ones like smoking, obesity and inactivity? What about sexual practices that are associated with high incidence of disease? What prevents government from using this power to reward "politically favored" groups, and otherwise exercise too much control over Americans' lives? Why did George Orwell include that scene in the book 1984 where Big Brother watches Winston Smith engage in mandated exercises, critiquing his performance? Is there a fundamental difference between private insurance companies having such policies and the government having them?insuranct = insurance moreOther Insurance Company results
